The Table Workshop at The Olana in Hickory Creek, Texas

This year I made the decision to invest more into my photography education and “The Table” was my first stop! When I began shooting weddings I was shooting under someone else and one of the biggest blessings that came with that was constant insight and education on the wedding and photography industry. Since starting my own business I have to intentionally seek out nurturing my education, knowledge, and growth. The bonus is getting the opportunity to meet other amazing women who are navigating the same passion and business venture that I am. Now let me tell you all about this amazing workshop and share some pretty images with you!!

We started our day off with the education portion of the workshop were we learned about taxes, setting and achieving goals and of course some social media talk. Being the hands on visual learner I am, I got more education out of watching others work and Ellen and Kate were great about giving insight to what they do on wedding days with their clients and how to bring creativity into each one. It was inspirational and one thing it made me realize is that wedding days can be so rushed and nonstop for photographers and honestly sometimes it shows in our work. So I learned to slow down and get multiple diverse shots from one pose or moment. Its like the old saying of work smarter not harder.

The styled shoot that Ellen and Kate planned for us along with the other wonderful and very talented vendors was right out of a dream. This is where I will let the images speak for themselves!
