When Should I Send Save The Dates, Wedding Invitations, and Thank Yous?

Timing is everything and if you just got engaged and are in the midst of wedding planning, you maybe starting to wonder, “When should I send save the dates”? I have the ultimate cheat cheat on when you should send out your save the dates, formal wedding invitations and your thank you cards.

Save the dates: Order 7-9 month before and mail 6-7 months before wedding. Include your names, wedding date, location (city,state), photo, and wedding website

Wedding invitations:  Order 4 months before and send 2 months before

Wedding Day stationary: Wedding stationary can be wedding programs, place cards, vows (maybe by a calligrapher as a keep sake), diner menus, or signs. Order 6 months before so everything is ready for the big day.

Thank you’s: Order before or after wedding and send one month after wedding.
