Fall Bucket List

Fall has become one of my favorite seasons since we moved to Texas! The leaves change, cooler weather arrives and family fun can be found around ever corner! Now that fall is nearly here, I created a list of some fun fall activities that couples, families or friends will enjoy doing together!

1. Fall Festival

Many schools, churches and communities will host a fall festival making it easy to find something fun to do with some good food thrown into the mix!

2. Visit The Pumpkin Patch

Corn maze, hay rides, petting zoos…OH MY! Our family always has a great time going to our local pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkins and enjoy time with our friends.

3. Carve Pumpkins

Once you pick out the perfect pumpkin carving it up can be the perfect way to end your day at the pumpkin patch back at home! Plus, backing the pumpkin seeds is a tasty snack you can have the next day. If you have small kids another idea is letting your little ones paint the pumpkin, add glue and glitter or simple placing stickers all over it!

4. Go For A Walk

When we first moved here, multiple friends told us that the leaves don’t change here in Texas but when you come from Arizona, this is far from true! With that said, there are so many walking trails where you can enjoy the cooler weather, fresh air and changing leaves.

5. Fall Treats

Cooking or baking up a favorite fall recipe can really get you into the fall mood! Some of my favorites are pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, honey butter sweet potatoes, any chili and many more!

6. Apple Picking

I love u-pick farms and they great for all ages! This is a good way to be outside  and enjoy the weather plus once you get home you can make some yummy treats with your apples. Candy apples and apple pie are a couple of my favorites!

7. Reflecting On What You Are Thankful For

With Thanksgiving approaching I always take time to reflect on all the blessings in my life. A home, healthy family, supportive friends, a thriving business and so much more!

8. Visit The County Fair

Who doesn’t want to have a date to the fair or watch their kids eye light up when they see their favorite ride!

9. Decorate Your Front Porch/Door

Spend some time shopping for some fun fall décor or get crafty and make something for your front porch or door. A few years back I made a fall wreath that was affordable, one of a kind and simple to put together.

10. Update your family photo

This time of year, many look to get their family photos up to date or to use for their holiday cards. I enjoy this for my own family but also for my clients! I get the chance to capture this season in their lives so they can look back on this time for many years to come!
